During this holiday season, in the midst of universal uncertainty and a global health crisis, the team at Peter Do hopes to help vulnerable New Yorkers stay safe, warm, and nourished. To support the underserved in our community, we are giving away 1 pair of our signature Brown Combat Boots with Metal Tip (available in sizes EU 35-44).
To be eligible for the giveaway, we ask that you make a donation to @brooklyn_rescue_mission. The Brooklyn Rescue Mission was founded in 2002 by a group of clergy workers and community members with a vision to serve and uplift the hungry and homeless people of central Brooklyn by providing fresh, healthy food and clean clothing. The Mission services low wage earning families who are just one paycheck away from homelessness through their Urban Harvest Food Pantry, which offers free organic produce grown at their Bed-Stuy Farm. With the help of local environmental and food justice organizations, the Mission transformed what was once a neighborhood garbage dump into a welcoming garden and farm space where neighborhood youth could learn about growing food and community service. With nearly three decades of experience as a minister, community activist, and social worker in Brooklyn, Rev. Robert Ennis Jackson and his co-founder, Rev. DeVanie Jackson, envisioned the BRMUHC's programming as community empowerment through improving food systems and creating local food businesses and community jobs. Please join us in supporting the Brooklyn Rescue Mission Urban Harvest Center's powerful mission to transform the lives of those in crisis during these times of immense need.
